Terms of Sale

Last updated: October 23, 2026

These terms apply when you use this website or buy an e-book from Slow Sky Books. By buying, you agree to them. “We” means Slow Sky Books (slowskybooks.com), the publisher of this book and of the Slow Sky channel on YouTube.

Who sells the book

Your order is sold and processed by Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and delivers your download. Gumroad’s own terms also apply to the payment.

What you buy

Nobody Said Impossible is a digital book: a PDF file that you download after payment. It is not a printed book and nothing is shipped. Prices are in U.S. dollars and are shown before you pay.

About the content

We work hard to get the science right, and every chapter says plainly what is known, what is still open, and what is a dream. The “Let’s Imagine” pages are imagination, clearly marked as such; they are not predictions. Science keeps learning, so some answers will change. The book is general information, not professional advice.

The book suggests things to look for in the night sky. Never look at the Sun with your eyes, binoculars or a telescope unless you use a proper solar filter, and watch your step outdoors in the dark.

Refunds

See our Refund Policy.

Limits of our responsibility

The book and this website are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws of the place where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page on the day you buy applies to your purchase.
